Retiree Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) Subsidy
The projected Retiree HRA Subsidy is based upon the funding level for the Retiree Medical Apportionment requested by the BOPHB and approved by the Council of Finance and Administration in early October.
Clergy must have turned 60 years old by Dec 31, 2022 to be eligible for the benefit.
Eligibility for Retired Clergy & Clergy Spouse funding in 2023 has been determined as follows:
Eligible participants include Retired Clergy & Retired Local Pastors (who have completed Course of Study) of the Oklahoma Conference, eligible Lay Employees, and spouses and their eligible dependents, who previously met all enrollment obligations in the Conference Health Benefits Plan.
Projected funding levels in 2023, based upon the conditions described above, are:

Clergy who have 25 or more years of service, with 20 or more years prior to 1982 and their spouse will receive an additional $400 on top of the above mentioned HRA amount to help pay for the retiree’s health care premiums or other health related expenses.
Years of Service are determined as follows:
Years of Service will be determined by the Total Years of Service report provided by Wespath Benefits & Investments as defined in ¶357.2 of the 2016 Book of Discipline. In addition, clergy who have previous years as a full time diaconal minister in the Oklahoma Conference prior to ordination will have those years counted for HRA subsidy purposes.
