Mission and Ministry: Restore Hope Ministries
Homeless Prevention Initiative: One of the most successful programs of its kind in the county, this program offers emergency rental assistance and case management services to prevent families from becoming homeless when they’ve faced an unexpected financial crisis. Similar programs have an average success rate of about 70%. Last year, Restore Hope was over 99% successful and helped 1,159 Tulsans keep their homes and restore their self-sufficiency.
Hunger Reduction: Last year Restore Hope distributed nutritious groceries to 11,260 hungry neighbors and provided bountiful Thanksgiving baskets to 708 families. They offer a nutritious pantry-of-choice at both locations which is supplemented by fresh produce and occasional meat and dairy donations from local farmers, grocers, and their on-site garden.
Hope Promotion: Restore Hope’s chapel program is a way to share the source of hope with families in crisis. Last year, 1,050 guests attended the optional Monday – Thursday chapel service. They have a chapel intern, volunteer chaplains, and free Bibles available to those seeking spiritual encouragement through difficult times.
Project School Supplies: One of the best ways to end the cycle of poverty is through education. Last year, Restore Hope helped 2,549 students start the school year with the supplies they needed to be successful in school.
